A Guide to 10,000 Followers in 90 Days

Here's what I'd focus on to grow a following on đť•Ź & LinkedIn:

read time 4 minutes.

Welcome to my exclusive content. You won’t find this anywhere else. If you have any questions - simply reply to this email. You are my priority.

Today’s Email:

  • Optimizing your profile.

  • Share your journey in real-time.

  • Jump on what works best.

  • Establish your authority.

Alright - Let’s Innovate:

Just to clarify - follower counts do matter.

Regardless of what you see online - someone with 100,000 followers is going to have more authority and trust than someone with 10,000 followers.

This is simply how human psychology works.

Let’s begin - read below:

Day 1>: Optimize Your Profile

Give people a reason to follow you.

Here’s what to add/adjust in your bio:

  • A catchy nickname (e.g., “The Systems Guy” or “The Solopreneur”) (optional)

  • Your current projects (e.g., Founder of The Growth Innovator)

  • What followers can expect (e.g., Follow for daily insights on creating content that sells)

  • CTA + Link (e.g., “My Free Exclusive Content” which links to “alexcolhoun.com”)

Make sure you have a color scheme that stands out.

Your headshot and banner should also grab people’s attention. If they don’t - make a new one ASAP.

It’s the small things that slowly build trust.

Day 1-30: Share Your Journey in Real-Time

Clear > Clever.

Instead of always trying to be creative or funny - try posting the following:

  • Passions

  • Interests

  • Opinions

  • How To’s

  • Stories

Try this framework for đť•Ź:

  • 7:07 AM: Share a simple, actionable 4 or 5-step tip.

  • 10:32 AM: Post a success, failure (w/ inspiration), or life lesson.

  • 1:37 PM: Ask an intriguing question or post a quirky idea.

Try this framework for LinkedIn:

  • 7:07 AM: Alternate between stories, how-to’s, actionable tips, and long carousel posts.

These are the times that work best for me.

Use Hypefury for đť•Ź to auto-retweet for engagement and auto-unretweet. This helps me keep a tidy feed 24/7.

Use Taplio for LinkedIn to never miss a post. I use both of these platforms daily for my content systems.

Avoid politics, arguments, and off-topic content.

Get really good at ONE thing and then be known for that ONE thing.

Day 31-60: Jump on What Works Best

On đť•Ź - after 30 days - you'll have 90 posts to analyze.
On LinkedIn - after 30 days - you’ll have 30 posts to analyze.

Find which ones resonated the most and turn them into the following:

  • Threads

  • Short-Form

  • Long-Form

  • Carousels

  • Videos

I’d aim for 1-2 threads/carousels per week on 𝕏 & LinkedIn.

These types of content perform the best. You can repurpose your best performing posts at the end of the month.

Day 61-90+: Establish Your Authority

Alright - you’ve optimized your profile - analyzed 60 days of content - and generated carousel/thread ideas.

You should have gained followers by now - that’s GOOD! Message your new followers - let them know your DMs are open and happy to help when they need it.

I spend 45-60 minutes a day sending DMs, interacting w/ comments, and networking on both LinkedIn and đť•Ź.

Lastly - I highly recommend creating a private community such as Discord to bring your audience together.

Whenever you're ready, there are 3 ways I can help you:

1. The Growth Operating System: Join 400+ students and 50+ founders inside of The Growth Operating System. This course will teach you the system I’m using to build a massive audience on LinkedIn & 𝕏 as well as how I generate $15,000+ / month in income.

2. Alex’s Creator Club: This is my private community where you’ll get 1:1 support from me. The value here speaks for itself. Try it for free.

3. Coaching Session w/ Alex: If you’re looking for most efficient way to take your online brand/business to the next level - 1:1 coaching is the way to go. Book a time that works for you and let’s take your business to the next level.

On Saturday - I’ll be sharing a new method I use to create content that sells.

Happy Wednesday!

Alex
