Your LinkedIn profile isn’t a resume anymore.
It’s a landing page for leads.
Every weak headline, messy banner, or unclear CTA is costing you leads.
Here’s a simple system to fix it today.
The Three Hidden Profile Settings
Your custom LinkedIn URL.
This one is a MUST. If you don’t have a custom URL, the link that people use to find you will be filled with numbers and weird text, and it just won’t look good.
Change it here: Public profile & URL Settings → Edit your custom URL → Change to your first and last name with no spaces.

Your profile’s public visibility.
This one is a no-brainer. If your profile isn’t set for the entire internet to view it, you’re missing out on so many opportunities.
Change it here: Public profile & URL Settings → Edit visibility → Your profile’s public visibility → ON

Set follow as primary.
You want to show your audience how many followers you have (and make the follow button a primary action on your profile). Otherwise, the only action they can make is “connect.” Let’s fix that.
Change it here: Settings & Privacy → Visibility → Followers → Make follow primary

Once you’ve made these three changes, you’re ready for the next major edits.
Take a moment to make the adjustments above first before moving on.
The System: 3C Profile Optimization Workflow
Clarity → Headline & About section must show what you do + the result.
Bad: “Marketing consultant helping businesses scale.”
Good: “We build your LinkedIn content engine → You get clients & authority.”

Conversion → Banner & CTA must guide them to take the next step.
Tip: Add a line like “Start with my frameworks that get you results today” + link. Also, add testimonials to your banner. A recent client of mine → “We doubled our leads in 13 days with LinkedIn content.”

Credibility → Feature social proof, past results, or testimonials in About or Experience.
Tip: Numbers + outcomes > vague adjectives (“experienced, driven”).

That’s it → Clarity. Conversion. Credibility.
Quick Win — Do This Today
Rewrite your headline to clearly state what you do + the result.
Add 1 CTA to your banner (freebie, newsletter, or DM prompt).
Add 1 result or testimonial to your About section.
Do these three tweaks, and your profile will start attracting messages.
First impressions matter (I’ve seen it firsthand).
