Alright, Let’s Innovate:

Building a paid product is necessary to create cash flow.

But if you launch a product and don’t create a plan of action to take before the official launch:

  • You won’t get the results you want.

  • You’ll waste weeks/months of your time.

  • You won’t get the most out of your launch.

As of 2024, you can create many profitable business models.

Once you go through this post:

  • You’ll know what steps to take before launching your paid product.

  • You’ll make 100x more from your first paid offer.

  • You won’t waste months of your time building a waitlist.

Here’s what to do before launching your next paid product:

Grow Email List (Waitlist):

Without an email list, you’re losing hundreds, if not thousands, of customers for your new paid product.

Building a waitlist is the best way to build your email list before launching a paid product.

Here’s why:

  • You’ll own your email subscribers.

  • You can contact your list anytime.

  • You can send frequent updates and obtain feedback.

To do this, create a simple landing page like the following:

For my waitlist page, I used Typedream.

It’s awesome. It’s affordable. It’s everything I needed.

Here’s what to add to your waitlist page:

  • Embed Form (capture emails)

  • Headline (sell the outcome)

  • Sub Headline (be more specific on the outcome)

Add social proof at the bottom if you have any, as well.

Run Surveys:

I’ve been testing this for 2-3 months now, and I can confirm you 100% need to add running surveys and polls into your strategy.

Here’s why:

  • Instant feedback on what people like.

  • Critique on what people don’t like.

  • There are lots of great ideas for future content/strategies.

Recreate the surveys I use (feel free to change copy and adapt what works best for your business model):

Here’s what the two surveys look like.

When you subscribe to my exclusive content (newsletter), you’ll get the “subscriber survey.” If someone is to unsubscribe, they will get the “unsubscribe survey.”

Use the data from these two surveys to:

  • Make better content.

  • Adjust your current content strategy.

  • Re-build your business funnels.

Never get too comfortable.

Build Polls in Email Content:

I see a lot of creators posting polls on LinkedIn.

Yes, you can get results. However, the problem with these polls is that you get responses from random people on LinkedIn (or whichever platform you post it on).

Run polls via email content (this is your “owned” audience).

Here are two of my favorite polls I’m running right now:

Where are you on your journey?
What are you struggling w/ the most?

These two questions give me the following:

  • What to focus more on?

  • What people are struggling with?

  • What should I add to my paid offers?

I can also send personalized content depending on where my audience is in their online journey.

TL;DR:

Now that you’ve gone through what to do before building a paid product, here’s a quick list of things to take action on today:

  1. Build a waitlist landing page to capture emails.

  2. Run surveys and polls in your email content.

  3. Request feedback to make your product as good as possible.

  4. Test, adapt, and repeat this process.

  5. Your paid product doesn’t need to be 100% perfect (someone will always dislike what you create).

This is how you’ll begin building your 6-figure business on LinkedIn.

Cheers,

Alex
