6 Steps to Repurpose Content Today (the right way)

When you post content - 99% of your audience won’t see it.

It’s not because your content is bad - it’s because most of your audience isn’t active 24/7 or doesn’t have your notifications enabled.

This is where repurposing your content comes in. There are various ways you can go about this process.

Many creators tell you to repost your “highest performing content”.

What does that even mean? Does it work?

Here’s how to repurpose your content the right way:

Repurposing Your Best Content:

The easiest form of showing support on Twitter (now X) and LinkedIn is to simply like a post. Pressing the little heart icon…

So - if someone ACTUALLY likes your content - they’ll like your post.

Follow my 6-step process to find your best performing content (this works for both Twitter & LinkedIn):

1. Select the “Analytics” tab.

2. Select the “Tweets” tab on the top left.

3. Select “Export by Tweet” and choose the preferred timeframe (export the data as a CSV).

4. Import the downloaded CSV into a Google Sheets or Excel file.

5. Remove all columns except “Post Link”, “Post Text”, “Likes”, and “Impressions.”

6. Add a new column & create a formula to divide “Impressions” and “Likes”. Auto-fill to the rest of the document & filter from “Z → A”

7. Your top performing content is not displayed at the top.

From top to bottom - these are the posts you’ve created that have the highest impressions/views. Your audience took the time to interact with these posts - instead of just scrolling by.

Repurpose the content your audience actually liked - not just your posts that have high numbers.
