Today’s Email:

In today’s email, you’ll get my basic system to steal customers from other creators. If you want the full system I use to generate recurring revenue, grab it here.

  • Build a Daily Routine

Alright, Let’s Innovate:

Engaging on social media is by far the best way to expand your reach.

If you aren’t engaging with other content:

  • You miss out on potential engagement.

  • You miss out on potential customers.

  • You aren’t going to grow your network.

I’m engaging on social media every day. From comments to DMs to posting my content, it’s helped me:

  • Grow a massive following.

  • Generate recurring revenue.

  • Meet lots of cool people.

Here’s how to “steal” customers from other creators:

Create an Engagement List:

The goal is to engage with creators who have an audience that consists of ICP (ideal customer profile). This way you’re targeting a specific demographic, instead of random people.

  1. Pick two platforms to start (I chose LinkedIn + X).

  2. Create a Google Sheet of 5-10 creators. To make sure their audience consists of your ICP, go through the comments in their content and check out the people engaging. At first glance, do they fit the requirements of your ICP?

  3. In your new Google Sheet, add the following: Creator Name, Follower Count, Link to Profile, Posting Time, & Frequency.

  4. Find a time every day to do the following: 1 comment on every post, & 3 comments on other replies.

I’ve created a template you can use. Follow the instructions below:

File → Make a Copy → “Social Media Engagement Sheet”

Build a Daily Routine:

Depending on your schedule, it’s not always easy to engage, send DMs, and network online every day.

I’d recommend finding a time when you can sit down for 30-45 minutes, uninterrupted. This is your deep work period.

For me, it’s at 7:00 AM CST. I spend this time engaging with both my account and my client’s accounts:

  1. The comments you create should do the following: make people think, inspire people, or make people disagree. Engaging comments perform the best.

  2. Find 3 replies on each post that you agree or disagree with. Add your perspective to them.

  3. Repeat daily.

Here are 2 examples I posted that brought me new customers:

In my course, The Growth OS, I share my engagement templates, how I write comments to attract customers, and the exact routine I use every day.

Optimize Your Profile (Conversions):

If you do everything I’ve just shared with you but skip this step, it’s all for nothing. Your profile is where the conversions happen.

Here’s my profile as of 2/7/2024:

Remember, your organic content, DMs, and replies are TOFU (top of the funnel). You’ll be driving all traffic to your profile once it’s optimized:

  1. Profile Picture: High quality. Clean. No selfies. Color scheme.

  2. Profile Banner: High quality. Clean. Color scheme. 1-liner that explains what you do. Simple CTA.

  3. Profile Headline: 1-liner that explains what you do and who you do it for. Add social proof if applicable.

  4. Link in Bio: Your free product landing page. Capture emails from your audience and use them to upsell paid products.

Once you optimize your profile and spend the necessary time engaging each day, you’ll see results in no time.

Innovative Action Plan:

Here’s what to do next to start “stealing” customers:

  1. Create an engagement list.

  2. Optimize your profile.

  3. Build an engagement routine.

  4. Write engaging comments.

  5. Target creators with your ICP.

For my full system, get my video course, The Growth OS. I’ll refund you 100% of your investment if you’re not completely satisfied.

Cheers,

Alex
