99% of creators don’t use cold outreach.
If you only focus on inbound leads, listen up.
I'd highly recommend going through this post if you only focus on inbound leads from your organic content.
If you aren’t utilizing cold outreach:
You’re missing out on new customers.
You’re not taking advantage of outbound automation.
You’re missing out on an easy way to scale your business.

You’ll know what to say in LinkedIn connection requests.
You’ll grow on social media 10x faster.
Here’s how I’ve mastered cold outreach and how you can, too:
Sending DMs:
Sending DMs is tedious. Trust me, I’ve reached a point where I don’t want to do it anymore.
That’s why I built a system where sending DMs comes naturally to me:
I enjoy it.
I meet new people.
I land new clients.
Win-win-win.
I use the same strategy on both LinkedIn and Twitter (X). Here’s the 4-step process that I use:
Make a list of 30 creators who have fewer followers than you.
Make a list of 30 creators who have around the same followers as you.
Make a list of 30 creators who have more followers than you.
Starting today, message five creators in each of those three categories.
Here’s a message you can use:
Hi [first name]! I’ve been seeing your content on my timeline, and I can’t lie; everything you post is fantastic.
I just wanted to let you know you’re doing great, keep at it!
How does this benefit you?
You succeeded in being social on social media.
You might gain a new follower.
You may have just made a new friend.
Do this every day. Repeat the process once you’ve gone through your list of 30 creators.
From a simple outreach message, I’ve met some of my best online friends.
Note: If your outreach strategy is trying to sell something initially, you’ve already failed. Be genuine. Build connections. Selling comes later.
Connection Requests:
This step is only for LinkedIn.
With a premium account, you can send 100 personalized connection requests weekly. If you don’t have a premium, you can still send 100 requests with fewer personalized ones.
Here’s a template of the personalized connection requests I send each week:
Hi there, [first name]! I noticed we engage with similar content. If you ever need my insights on creating content that sells or growing your business on LinkedIn, don't hesitate to reach out!
The goals of connection requests on LinkedIn are:
To grow your network.
To meet new people.
To have open discussions about offering your paid products/services.
Email Outreach (Automated):
This one is my favorite.
Email outreach that is 100% automated (I don’t have to do anything).
For this, I use Beehiiv (no, I’m not partnered with them).
Here’s an example of an email outreach automation that has performed very well for me these past few weeks:
To begin, I run a 3-4 question survey.
You’ll be added to a “Subscriber Segment” depending on your answer. From there, you’ll be automatically entered into the specific automation.
If you select “Struggling to Make First $1 Online”, I’ll send you content that especially helps individuals who haven’t made $1 online yet.
For someone who already runs a successful business but is looking to scale, that type of content won’t do them any good.
Customized content is the future.
Innovative Action Plan:
Now that you’ve gone through these steps let’s build an action plan:
Create a system for sending DMs.
Your list should contain 30/30/30 creators with fewer followers, the same followers, and more followers than you.
Send 100 LinkedIn connection requests per day.
Set up email automation for personalized content depending on survey or poll results.
